Parade Creations

The Summer Solstice of 2002, I entered a Captain Underpants Float in the Seattle Solstice Parade to protest the ban of the Captain Underpants books from public school libraries. My family, friends and school community marched proudly as the characters from the book. We were a group of fifty.

In 2008 I created the Minne Bike Float for the Minneapolis Parks Foundation to promote their purchase of Minne the Lake Creature to float in the Chain of Lakes in the Twin Cities.

In 2010 I created a banana sled for the Powderhorn Art Sled Rally in Minneapolis. We successfully traversed down the icy slope to the cheering of the crowd.
